QHow do I make a reservation?
A

Please let us know the name of the tour, your flight information (Airline Company, arrival and departure date), and number of people in your group.

QI’m a solo traveler. Is it okay to join the tour by myself?
A

Many of our tours require a minimum of 2~3 adults to operate the tour. If the number does not meet the requirements, the tour will be under “request”. Whether the tour is going to be held or not will be decided at 5:00pm of the day before the tour. We will call your hotel room to explain the situation.

QCan you arrange a fishing tour of my preference?
A

RITC specializes in fishing tours. We offer chartered fishing tours for those who want to enjoy fishing freely. Please submit the reservation form with: type of fishing tour (bottom or trolling), date, number of people, and whether you need lunch and tour guides. For those who do not want to fish can also join the tour, but please note that due to safety purposes, all customers must stay together or close at all times during the tour.

QI used to live in Palau when it was governed by Japan. Is it possible to charter a van and visit all the places of my memories?
A

Our tour guides are experts on Babeldaob and Peleliu islands. We have a lot of experience in guiding customers who used to live in Palau before and during the WWII. Please submit the reservation form with: places you wish to visit, date, number of people, and whether you need lunch and tour guides. Our staff will arrange a tour based on the information.

QIs there anything we need to be careful when making a reservation online?
A

Online reservations must be made by 5:00 pm of 2 days before your departure to Palau. If it is later than that, please call our office or visit one of the tour desks after your arrival. Please read the guidelines before making your reservation online.

QDo you have an office in Japan?
A

QAre tours going to be held in bad weathers?
A

Yes, tours will be held in rain or cloudy weather. Tours may be cancelled due to a typhoon or weather condition that affects operation. If we decide to cancel the tour, we will call your hotel room in the morning. We appreciate your understanding.

QDo the boats have a restroom?
A

Many of our boats do not have restrooms. You may request when you make a reservation but please note that we may not be able to prepare a boat with a restroom.

QThe explanation for the Special Rock Island Tour says that there is a 10 minute walk on steep hills to get to the Jellyfish Lake. Is it difficult for small children and elderly people to join this tour?
A

Stairs have been built to get to the Jellyfish Lake, making it easier for small children and elderly people to get to the lake. Many people go there in their flip flops, but please note that there may be slippery areas so it is recommended to wear marine boots or slip resistant sandals.

QCan infants and pregnant women join the tours?
A

Due to safety purposes, we do not allow infants and pregnant women to join some of our tours.

QHow long is the hike/trek in the mountains for “Ngardmau Waterfall & Stone Monoliths Tour” and “Special Rock Island Tour?”
A

For “Ngardmau Waterfall & Stone Monoliths Tour,” it is a 40 minute trek one way (1 hour 20 minute trek round trip) to the waterfall. Please note that zip lines and monorails are not included in the tour. There is also a 10 minute walk one way on climbing stairs to get to the stone monoliths.
For “Special Rock Island Tour,” there is a 10 minute hike (20 minutes round trip) to get to the Jellyfish Lake.

QCan elderly people join the kayak tour?
A

Yes, kayaking does not require a lot of power to paddle. Anyone from children to elderly people can join the tour because we will paddle through the calm waters.

QI am allergic to certain foods. How is the meal going to be?
A

Please inform us by 5:00pm of the day before the tour. There is no extra fee to prepare different meals for those with food allergies. Please note that if you inform us the last minute, we may not be able to prepare different meals.

QAre there days we cannot see the Long Beach?
A

Long Beach appears when the tide is low; however, there are times when the sandy beach cannot be seen. Usually, the beach appears when the tide is lower than 60cm(2.0 feet)but it may differ depending on how strong the wind is. Please let us know if you would like to receive more information.

QThere is a specific snorkeling point I would like to go. Can we go there for sure?
A

Palau has a number of wonderful snorkeling points. Our experienced tour guides will decide which snorkeling points to go on the day of the tour depending on the weather and sea conditions. If you have a request, we will take it in to consideration, but please note that depending on the sea conditions, we may not be able to go along with your wishes.

QWhat are the permits?
A

Palau’s state governments require all visitors to possess a government issued permit at all times while travelling through designated territories.
Rock Island $50 6 years and above. Valid for 10 days.
Jellyfish Lake $100 6 years and above. Valid for 10 days.

QWhere can I purchase the Rock Island or the Jellyfish Lake permits?
A

Permits can either be bought on your own or through our company for your convenience at no extra charge.

QIs pick-up and drop-off included in the tour?
A

Yes, pick up and drop off services are included if your accommodation is located in Koror, Ngerkebesang, Malakal, and partial areas in Airai state.

QI am switching hotels on the day of the tour.
A

Can I bring my luggage on the tour?
Can the company keep my luggage during the tour?
Can the company take my luggage to my next hotel?
We’re sorry, but there is no extra space to leave your luggage on our cars and boats. Please contact your travel agency for further assistance. If you booked your hotels on your own, we will drop you off at the same hotel which you were picked up. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

QCan the company make reservations for hotels and restaurants?
A

We’re sorry, but RITC is a tour company and therefore, we do not make reservations for hotels and restaurants.

QHow can I search the weather forecast for Palau?
A

Palau is a subtropical climate and therefore, it is difficult to get an accurate weather forecast. You can check the satellite image in the following link:
